Attea is a speech-language pathologist whose primary missions is to provide the highest quality of feeding and swallowing practices and techniques for all vulnerable and at-risk patients. Attea is trained in FEES far all ages, and specializes in pediatrics. She has developed instituted a FEES program at a level II trauma hospital facility. She has extensive experience in neonatal, infant, pediatric, and adult settings to include Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric and Adult Intensive care units, acute care, subacute, outpatient, home health and skilled nursing facility. Most recently, Attea has served as a rehabilitation therapy services supervisor for over 5 years in a medical setting, providing significant and valuable feeding and swallowing educations, mentorship to her staff, families, and patients. Attea personally witnessed the significant valuable and progress delivered through speech and language therapy. As such, she believes patients deserve the highest level of care therefore they deserve access to an instrumental swallow study to ensure safety during the consumption of food and liquids.
